My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

How was the golf dinner? Are you having any luck with your attempts to get the Saudis to make a deal with PGA Tour Enterprises to merge? Do you think your voters really care? Most can’t afford the time or $$ to golf. Besides it’s a head game & most of us don’t like fighting ourselves for several hours.

                  Speaking of doing distasteful things, I need to work on my taxes today. I’m ambivalent about the whole thing & wonder if the IRS will be equipped to chase after me if I delay in getting them in. I heard on 92.5, the Breeze,  that some folks aren’t filing this year. Maybe that will save the government some $$ since 64% of tax payers get a refund.

                  Did Melania go to the dinner last night? I was surprised to see an article about her in the G about her participation in the 19th International Women of Courage awards handed out by the State Department. Did you get a chance to meet any of the awardees? If not, I encourage you to give Zabib Musa Loro Bakhit of South Sudan a call so she can help you understand why you need to reinstate USAID funding for AIDs treatments, especially for pregnant women.

                  Please also reinstate funding for emergency aid for countries suffering from natural disasters. It’s embarrassing to see that Malaysia & the Philippines have sent disaster relief teams to Burma when we, who are much richer than they, have just pledged $2 million. Certainly we can spare more than that.

                  Back to Melania. I so appreciated that she said, “Throughout my life, I have harnessed the power of love as a source of strength during challenging times…Love has inspired me to embrace forgiveness, nurture empathy & exhibit bravery in the face of unforeseen obstacles.” I’d love to hear you say something similar.
