My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
Congrats on having a great round of golf yesterday. I understand that you are leading the senior bracket going into today’s play. Speaking of brackets, Duke’s loss last night will screw up lots of people’s NCAA (M) picks. I hope you saw the last couple of minutes of the game. The best part was Coach Sampson’s interview afterwords when he said, “you never lose at anything if you don’t quit..all the credit goes to God…I am so blessed I get to coach these kids…they trust each other.” I hope his team wins on Monday.
Please help me understand why Three U.S. aid workers who had been sleeping in the streets of Burma helping the rescue recovery from the earthquake, were told that they had been laid off? I’m sure you did not authorize that kind of cruel treatment which has now been publicized by NBC News, Sky & the NYT. Please reign in ERM. He’s reckless.
It’s going to be a full Sun morning, so I have to make this one quick. I have my Yangon Friends Meeting, then we need to jump start our car, which has a faulty electrical system. If we are successful, we will drive to Davis so my husband can putter in our old garage & I can go to Meeting for Worship. I hope to find time to stop off to buy some tea.
My guess is you will be playing some golf. I am telling you about my day-to-day because many worry that you live in a “billionaire bubble.” I saw some signs to that effect at the picnic I attended yesterday with thousands of others on the lawn of the CA State Capitol. Energetic crowd, abundant creativity in signs & costumes. Convening to express outrage over immigration, diversity & tariffs turned into a wonderful party.
I got lots of compliments on my sign, “Don’t let them steal your joy,” & one man took a photo of me & his wife with it, because her name is “Joy.” Meeting like-minded strangers is the best reason to go these events.
I hope you made a new friend,
BYBS,
