My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

            I am behind in my letters because my students are my priority. Teaching them consumes me. I get into the flow state that Mihaly Robert Csikszentmihalyi wrote about, when I lose track of time & am totally absorbed in what I am doing. Self-consciousness disappears as do my worries, regrets & hopes as I am living in the NOW, NOW, NOW. Does that ever happen to you? Playing golf, perhaps or maybe talking about Exec Orders?

            These moments bring great joy so I hope you find them so you can experience greater peace of mind. I worry that you may suffer from the emotional clutter that can come from being permanently aggrieved by something that happened in your past. You always seem to be on guard waiting for someone to harm you. That kind of vigilance is hard on your heart & soul. If you could relax, you might find there is more good in the world than bad. At least that’s my experience.

            I am curious about UFC Fight 314 that you are flying to Miami to watch tonight. According to journalist Karim Zidan your relationship with the UFC enables you to connect with the alienated young men who share your angst & feel “left out of the political space & out of society in general.”

            I presume the same demographic are fans of Formula 1. In which case, they may be upset that your tariffs are harming Haas Automation, so much so that they are scaling down their NASCAR entries this season from four to just one. They are thinking of becoming a British company. You don’t want that, do you?

            Changing Topics, did you hear that the earthquake in Burma pushed up some monumental ruins believed to be the remains of a royal water residence during the Konbaung era? That good news is accompanied by the bad news from the Vatican News that “Airstrikes by the regular army have destroyed another Catholic church in Chin, Myanmar's only Christian-majority state.”

Please make a guarantee that Burmese refugees in America who go back to Burma to check on their relatives will be allowed back here. Their kids are US citizens & I know that you detest family separations, so allowing this exception would be prudent.
