My dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

What is the mind knowing now? My mind can get tangled in recursive questions such as this, feeling just like I did when I stepped into the mirrored closet in my grandpa’s ski wear shop. It was a magical place where could make an equilateral triangle out of full-length mirrors, so you saw an infinite number of reflections of your reflection. I found it tantalizingly mind-blowing.

What is your mind knowing now? Is it conjuring up new things to do in your last few days in the WH or is it trying to hold back regrets?

Hopefully, the remarks you gave in your farewell speech are providing you with some solace.  You can rest assured that you warned us of the “dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultra-wealthy people.” I appreciated your reference to Ike & his farewell speech alerting of the dangers of the military-industrial complex. I had not thought of a tech industrial complex, but I think you are spot on.

I am thrilled with the news of the deal between Hamas & Israel. The G noted, “Success has many fathers. When the ceasefire in Gaza was finally announced on Thursday, they all stood up to take the credit.” Is it true there were “notes of bonhomie between the rival teams?” I loved your observation, “the Bible says blessed are the peacemakers. Many peacemakers helped make this deal happen.”

As you endeavor to make peace, please consider acknowledging the NUG in Burma. Doing so would give it credibility & erode the power of the junta. It would also send a message to XJ that we are aware of China’s interest in Burma & are in support of the people.

Including something about WINTA & Burma in your speech today at the Department of Defense Commander in Chief Farewell Ceremony would be wonderful. I wish your website were operational so you would receive this advice in a timely manner. Alas that’s not the case.

            BYBS,
