Today’s HX, #14, suggests indicates, “the gentle wind & awakening thunder gain to let go of each other.” Don’t you love ambiguous observations like that? The Christian I Ching Society interprets it as “make good use of an auspicious time by cultivating creativity & giving birth to new forms.” So, as we approach our employment transitions, let’s go for it!
You don’t really need that advice, because I can see how busy you are putting innovative programs into place right now. I hope they work as intended.
The AI Intelligence Infrastructure Order sounds promising, but I worry about some of the fast-tracking aspects. Leasing existing DOD properties to AI developers may work, but encouraging the use nuclear energy is sketchy, as is establishing “categorical exclusions” from review under the National Environmental Policy Act. Claiming that we’ll make ourselves more secure by building AI stuff at home AND do so in a clean energy fashion, suggests a “have your cake & eat it, too” situation. BYTW, isn’t that a strange phrase?
I’m all for addressing the forced labor situation among the Uyghurs so I applaud you for adding 37 entities to the list of companies that are forbidden from importing goods to America. I encourage you to do something like this for chocolate products so American consumers can stop blindly supporting child labor in Ghana & the Ivory Coast.
Have fun at your celebration of your historic conservation legacy & signing of the proclamations to establish the Chuckwalla National Monument & the Sáttítla Highlands National Monument.
When you deliver your remarks, you might mention the Ta’ang 62nd anniversary of National Revolution Day which was Jan 12. Their army continues to fight the junta & knows they can’t win by themselves. They deserve recognition for embracing gender equity. You might also request that the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army return the Ta’Ang young men that they abducted from Chin Shwe Haw in Nov, 2023.
