My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            9/11 is always a sobering date. Thanks for sharing QE2’s quote, ““Grief is the price we pay for love,” at your speech this morning at the Pentagon. I appreciate the sentiment that today we practice “renewal and resolve” to both the United States itself and democratic principles overall.

            As we do so, let’s hold the Burmese people in the Light. Please follow the advice of the Special Advisory Council on Myanmar & recognize the National Unity Government as the legitimate government of Myanmar.

            I wish you well on your travels to Boston tomorrow. I look forward to hearing more about your “moonshot” to end cancer.
