My dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

            I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you & AZ Gov Ducey (DAD) today. At 4:15 EST I can squeeze you in between my presentation to UCD alumni & my class with student teachers. I’d like to help you wrap your heads around the idea that right now the CV positivity in AZ is 18%. Just in case you can’t include me in your conversation, I’ll give you a quick explanation. If you put 11 kids in a classroom, 2 of them would have CV. While I am making a lot of assumptions, which I can explain later, clearly, this is not a good time to open schools unless you’ve decided to give up on stopping the spread of CV.

            It’s nice of you to take the time to meet with DAD. People are calling him a lot of mean names for his “timid” response to CV. He’s very unpopular with teachers. If he insists, they go back to their classrooms, he may lose the few veterans that stayed after he failed to improve their salaries and working conditions in 2018. Some folks worry that many of his agencies are headed by incompetent folk who do things like show up drunk to functions. I think you’ve had your fair share of problems with personnel so perhaps the two of you could reflect on how running the government is different from running a business & see if you can come up with some ideas for improving your practices.

            AZ is going to be a fascinating state to watch in the 2020 election. After yesterday’s primary we now know who’ll be in the races. Of course, the Senate race will get a lot of attention but the 6th Congressional District will be close, too. Your guy, Rep David Schweikert, just admitted to 11 ethics violations & his opponent, Dr. Hiral Tipirneni (HL), has 5 times as much $$ as he does. Now that everyone is worried about CV HL’s experience as a doctor may be her biggest asset. We’ll see if folks in Paradise Valley and Scottsdale are ready for a change.
