My dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,          

            I like the idea that CV “will go away.” It would be so nice if that would happen “sooner rather than later” as you mentioned yesterday. I know that’s what everyone wants. But wishing won’t make it so. If you want it to go away, you’re going to have to change your tune. Schools can’t open. The economy will have to suffer for several more weeks. Everything will need to shut down. Like it did after 9/11. No airplane travel. No one crossing state lines. 2-weeks of shelter in place should do it. Let’s go for it so we can all get on with the rest of our lives. I doubt you will go for this plan, so I encourage you to stop saying that it “will go away.” It makes you sound naïve.  

            I hope you have an enjoyable trip to Ohio today. The folks at the Shoreby Club will be taking the Abbott Labs rapid CV test which has an 88% accuracy rate. If 500 people come to the fund raiser, 28 of them will have the virus & 3 of them will test negative. Hopefully they will not be the folks paying $100,000 to have close contact with you. Just in case, you should probably wear a mask.

            The folks in Clyde say they are “pumped for Trump” & are thrilled that you will be visiting their Whirlpool plant where they build giant washing machines. Does the WH have a Whirlpool? I don’t.  They didn’t have a machine that would fit in the small space that I have for a washer so I have a GE. It makes nice sounds when it finishes a load. Perhaps the Whirlpools do, too. You should ask the folks at the plant about that.
