My dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

            It’s too bad that you had to cut your trip to FL short & will have to skip your visit to Doral. I hope Storm Isaias doesn’t get any more intense. It’s 80 mph winds make it a Cat 1 storm. Perhaps it will stay out at sea & we won’t have to worry about sheltering people in this moment of CV.

            Did you learn anything new about plasma at your visit to the Red Cross yesterday? I noticed that it’s the same color as urine. Kind of gross! Thanks for wearing your mask while you were in the facility.

            Do you know if St Petersburg Chief of Police Anthony Holloway will be at your meeting with FL sheriffs in Tampa today? He’s just started up a Community Assistant Liaison Program where 18 – 20 mental health professionals will be taking service calls for individuals in crisis. This will avoid some of the deadly confrontations that can happen when an officer’s only tool for resolving situations is a gun.

The Largo police force has been doing a similar program for over a year where Officer Albin Soto and his partner, social worker Tianna Audet go out together on calls. They know the top 20 people who require frequent service so they have strategies for calming them down & getting them help. When folks talk about “defunding the police” this is the kind of thing they have in mind. I hope you hear about it today. Largo & St Petersburg are just down the street from Belleaire so the chiefs could stop by the fundraiser at the Pelican Golf Club to give you a quick report.

            I suggest you make sure that the census takers have plenty of time to collect data & you stop talking about changing the date of the election.
