My dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,
Did you enjoy your visit to TX yesterday? It looks like you got a warm reception – both from Mother Nature & from the folks of Odessa. I saw you signed a couple of football helmets. It’s too bad that CV will limit the 2020 football season. What will the folks in the Permian Basin do on Friday nights?
I’ll be interested to see what you learn at the Red Cross today about Covid-IG. Perhaps you will be persuaded to spend some $$ on a true randomized controlled trial like they’re doing on the vaccines. That would help prove that injecting plasma from a CV survivor actually helps a CV sufferer. We’ve already spent $187 million on the treatment so it would be nice to know if it works. Don’t you think?
I was sorry to hear that your advocate, Bill Montgomery of Turning Point, died of CV. When you give your condolences to his young protégé, Charlie Kirk, please inform him that wearing a mask does not make you “infect yourself.” He’s a bit confused about the science. You know how that is.
It looks like the folks in WI Rapids are coming around to the idea of socialism. Their paper mill is closing down because the glossy paper they manufacture for magazines isn’t in demand these days. The workers and loggers are considering turning the business into a cooperative. They don’t care about profits. They just want jobs. That’s socialism, isn’t it?
I can’t decide if that’s a good idea. The WP points out, CV “is proving to be a decisive Darwinian force in industries… culling some businesses that might have been weakening for years while giving others a new jolt of life.” According to that logic, the paper mill should be torn down & the trees in WI can stay in the woods. Tough luck for the 900 employees, their families & all the small businesses in the town that catered to them. They can start working for an alternative energy company & keep up with the times. I’m afraid it’s going to be a painful transition. Do you think you can help them?
HYITL,
