My dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,          

            Are you sure you want to go to TX today? Odessa is going to get up to 99 & your visit to the Double Eagle Energy oil rig is going to be at the peak of the heat. I hope you have your shorts.

I also wish you were visiting Vicki Hollub at Occidental Petroleum. You remember that she visited you in the WH. She’s got some rigs in the Permian Basin & I’m sure she’d have some nice things to say about your deregulation of her industry. The women voters of TX might be more inclined to vote for you if they saw you singing the praises of a sister in a male-dominated industry rather than those good-old-boys who run Double Eagle. I’m sure Cody Campbell & John Sellers are nice enough guys & it’s sweet that they’ve been friends forever, but they’ve got 5 White guys on their board, no women, no POCs. They just got a PPP loan so I hope they say thank you for that & spread their wealth to some of the folks working on their rigs.

I’m worried about Apollo Global Management that’s funding Double Eagle. According to the Financial Times they are a “shadow bank,” ‘a vital source of funding for heartland businesses that many banks now consider too difficult, or too risky, to touch.’ It seems that Apollo gets their $$ through folks investing in annuities. I hope they don’t need a bail out anytime soon.
