            You looked great in your mask! Thanks for wearing it. I hope all of your fans will emulate you & the nation will be a little bit safer.

            Did you see the article about Surgeon General Jerome Adams (JMA) in the WP today? I hope you’ll spend more time with him. I think he can help you to understand that “everything is more complicated than a tweet.” I respect the fact that even though he’s learned that in politics, “nice gets you into trouble. Nice means that you trust people,” he continues to be nice anyway. I appreciate that his leadership approach involves “gentle persuasion.” I hope his “targeted outreach to communities of color” works out. It brings me some peace of mind to know that you have at least one nice person in your administration. I encourage you to hire a few more.

Has JMA spoken with you about his concerns about mental health? I agree with him that we need to be ramping up our efforts to prevent suicide. Now that there are more guns in homes, people have the means to end their lives when they get desperate. I hope you’ll do what you can to address this issue.
