Friend DJT,
I am thrilled to hear that you are going to be wearing a mask at WRNMMC today! As you know, they consider themselves on the “frontline of the Covid-19 war” so there could be CV particles all over the place there. According to my UC Davis colleague, aerosol expert William Ristenpart, CV particles aren’t just in water droplets that come out of our mouths when we sneeze or cough, they are also in the microdroplets that we emit when we breathe. When we talk we expel 10 microdroplets per-second. Since they are so small, they can stay in the air for a while. So, if you must go to check on the patients at the hospital, don’t get too close & use your PPE.
Speaking of PPE, the nice people at the Davis Post Office do not have gloves. Could you help them out with that?
It’s too bad that the environment that we live in today is so politically charged that people can’t be nice without getting into trouble. You are trying to be nice to your old friend by commuting his sentence & folks think that it might be a bribe to keep him quiet. I certainly hope that’s not true. Roger does have a gleam in his eye that suggests he’s keeping secrets. My years of teaching middle schoolers has provided me with lots of experience with that. Perhaps other Americans also find Roger untrustworthy & think he would benefit from at least a little time behind bars to find some humility & grace.
Poor Robert Unanue was trying to be nice when he said we are “blessed” to have you as President, & now there’s a boycott on his family company. I suspect that Goya will survive & will continue to sell 38 varieties of beans for years to come.
Please take a look at today’s LAT where there’s a front-page article about an anti-CV inoculant involving plasma from recovered patients. It’s not getting funded for some complicated reasons but it sounds really promising as a short-term solution to CV. Please talk to Dr. Fauci about it.
HYITL,
