My dear Friend and President, DJT,
Happy Monday! How are things in NYC? I am looking forward to hearing what your "big message for UNGA" is going to be. I hope it isn't too combative. We don't need more combat! I'm sorry that you elected to "snub" the UN climate summit and created some drama by holding your own religious freedom event in the same building.
Which meeting did Kelly Craft attend? Since she's new to this whole diplomacy thing, she may find it difficult to explain to the other delegates what's going on, especially since she considers climate change to be a "real threat" requiring the "the attention and action of all nations". Maybe she'll just skip the whole thing. According to the WP she missed lots of stuff as ambassador to Canada because she was off doing other things. I guess when you are super wealthy, you have a lot going on and your job isn't that important.
It looked like you had a blast yesterday at the "Howdy Modi" rally in Houston. Who knew that 50,000 Texans would show up to welcome the PM of India? I guess they don't mind that he's playing a heavy hand in Kashmir.
I am excited about your meeting with NZ PM Jacinda Ardern today. I understand that she wants to talk about trade. It seems we have almost a perfect trade balance with the Kiwis. They buy $4 billion of our stuff and we import the same amount of their stuff. Not too much to talk about. I suspect that she's going to try to convince you to sign the Christchurch Call to eliminate terrorist and extremist content on-line. I hope you'll express the sympathy of our nation for the 51 people killed in the mosques last March and promise to do what you can to prevent that kind of thing.
From my count, you have 5 bilateral meetings today. That's going to be intense.
Be your best,
RCA
