My dear friend and president, DJT,

            You need to see the movie, Good Boys! Make sure that SM sees it with you. It's about a gang of 3 12-year olds, the "beanbag boys", and their crazy day trying to get a drone back so they can go to a spin-the-bottle party. The boys are so innocent, honest and moral, and they are quite creative when they need to get out of a jam. The theater was full of people and laughter. It was a wonderful tonic!

            I was surprised that you called off your trip to Denmark. Poor Queen Margarethe and her staff have spent the past couple of weeks preparing for your visit and now they are left in the lurch. I hope you will make it up to her somehow. She seems like a lovely lady. Did you know that she designs costumes for ballets and movies? She says it "nourishes" her so she can endure the difficult work of being queen. You might also want to check in with her 3rd cousin, Queen Elizabeth, who must be baffled by your cancelation.

            I hope you have an enjoyable trip to the AMVETS conference in Louisville today. What do you think of their new resolution "to promote and instill ‘post-traumatic growth’ rather than the narrative which is heavily embedded in American society that veterans return from war as ‘broken heroes’"? They don't want PTSD suffering vets to be medicated, they want them to experience love so they can trust the world again. I hope you'll talk with Richard Tedeschiwho designed the treatment to see if he can help SM.

         Did you see that the Parkland kids have "unveil(ed) a sweeping gun-control proposal" (WP)? They've got some great ideas, lots of energy and youth on their side. I'm excited to see if they can get their friends out to the polls in 2020. They're calling the NRA, the "the big tobacco of violence in the U.S.”Catchy, don't you think?

            I've got to run. Going to meet the new 5th graders I'll be doing math with this year.
