It's going to have to be another fast letter. Today I have to leave the house early to go over to North Davis elementary to re-enact the "Squish" lesson where third graders explore the idea of area. It's different every time so it's always exciting.
Are you sure you want to go to Pittsburgh today? Mayor Bill Peduto would prefer you postpone your visit. He doesn't have enough police to block streets for you and to keep the peace at the funerals.
Are you ready to denounce White Nationalists and stop inflammatory comments about minority groups? That's what Jewish Leaders at "Bend the Arc" have demanded of you. Are you ready to face their protest?
I think you would be better off staying in DC and chilling for another day. It's going to be a sunny day. You could sit in the Washington Cathedral and meditate for an hour. That would help you find the inner peace you will need to get through the next week. Rabbi Levi Shemtov says you have the capacity to heal. I'm sure we'd all love to see that in action.
It's windy here today in No. Cal. which presents fire danger. Let's hope we can dodge that bullet.
