My Dear Friend and President, DJT,
Happy Halloween! My pumpkin is ready to go. We've got some candy. Bring on the Trick or Treaters. My 6 year-old neighbor Quincy thinks I should dress up as a witch or a ghost. I think I might just dress up as "me." I think I'm scary enough.
I didn't have time to read about your experience in Pittsburgh yesterday. I still think that you should have waited for your visit. Perhaps you didn't get a chance to read my letter yesterday.
I assume you did ok or I would have heard about it. As I've mentioned in the past, it's so hard to know what to say when someone is grieving. I usually resort to "I'm sorry for your loss." You can't make the person feel better, you can only witness their sorrow and help them to know they're not alone.
I hope you have fun in Florida today. According to the polls, Floridans are much more worried about health care than immigrants so best to stick to that topic tonight. Did you know that an algae bloom there is affecting the Senate election? Apparently, they are having a terrible Red Tide which is impacting the tourism industry. To top that, they are having a blue-green algae attack, too. Some voters think that Gov. Scott screwed up by making so many environmental cutbacks so they're not voting for him.
I hope Andrew Gillum will become the first Black governor of FL. He has some ideas to improve water quality and he's planning to combat climate change. Your guy, Ron DeSantis, is a climate denier. That could be a deal breaker for many voters. We'll get to see next week.
Best,
RCA
