My Dear Friend and President, DJT,
Did you hear the story on NPR this morning about Tomie dePaola's new children's book, "Quiet"? It's about two children and their grandfather who, after noticing all of the animals being super busy, decide to take a moment for contemplation to appreciate the gift of life. I encourage you to get a copy to read to your grandkids, and, after you do, take a few minutes to sit with them and just be quiet. You might be surprised at how it affects you.
It sounds like your Council Bluff rally yesterday was another "explosive" event. Today's Omaha World-Herald noted that you called Democrats "wacko." That's not very nice. Comments like that may be why Haley Hager, 28, of Des Moines finds your rhetoric "hateful." I encourage you to avoid that term today in Erie, PA.
I'm not sure that your visit is going to do much for Lou Barletta's Senate candidacy. Most news sources say he's way behind in the polls. Perhaps there are more Pennsylvanians who are sympathetic to immigrants than you realize. 13 people are living in sanctuaries in Philly and one just came out of hiding after 10 months in the Church of the Advocate to go to Senator Casey's office to ask for help. She's a brave woman and I hope you and Lou won't say anything nasty about her. I'm pretty sure she does not belong to M-13 so I don't think she poses a threat to anyone's security. Maybe you can help her out.
Are you excited about your lunch with Kayne West tomorrow? I'll be curious to see what he wears.
Have a great day,
RCA
