My Dear Friend and President, DJT,

Was your red tape cutting event yesterday a success? I didn't see much press coverage of it so I assume it was fine. I did get to read about Marine Sgt Maj John Canley, the guy who got a Medal of Honor. According to Newsweek, John Ligato, who nominated Mr. Canley, had to cut through a lot of red tape. It took him 15 years to usher the nomination through. In the end Rep. Julia Brownley had to write legislation so Mr. Canley could receive the award. Apparently, he was honored for his heroics during a battle in the Tet Offensive, and is an incredibly humble guy. Newsweek quoted him as saying, "if you take care of the troops, you don't have to worry about the mission." His modesty is a lesson to us all.

Speaking of modesty, please try to demonstrate some in Missoula tonight. I'm surprised you chose that city as your destination today. Flatheads call it "the granola bar." Be careful. Will Deschamps, former MT GOP chair, encouraged people to bring their guns to the rally because he fears the antifa.

While you're in Missoula, stop by the Aerial Fire Depot and Smokejumper Center. It'll help you understand why folks in Montana worry about climate change.

I'm afraid you might be on the wrong side of a losing battle for the MT Senate seat. Senator Tester has $26.3 million at his disposal, while your guy has less than half of that. Folks there care about health insurance and ACA has been good to them. Under "Obamacare" 100,000 gained insurance, including many with pre-existing conditions. Best to avoid that topic.

Finally, did you see the story about the kids at our local charter school who ate some brownies seasoned with grandpa's ashes? The WP called it "the high school goth story to top all high school goth stories." Now the baker is an "endocannibal." Maybe grandpa was a wizard and she wanted some of his magical powers and wanted all her friends to have some too. Do you think she should be expelled?

Have fun in the Big Sky state,

RCA
