My dear Friend and President, DJT,
Can Kim Jung Un (KJU) trust you? Writing of your denuclearization summit this week, Harry Kazianis of Fox News says, "President Trump needs to make Kim understand that America is not North Korea’s enemy, has no desire to overthrow Kim and his regime, and can be trusted." That's a tall order!
I hope that KJU does not read Jonathan Greenburg's piece in the WP today about the 6 essential cons that define you. If he does, he'll probably turn that train headed for Hanoi around and go right back to building nukes at Yongbyon.
I don't think KJU would be troubled by the first two cons where Greenburg noted your confusion about your net worth. I could relate to that. I have a hard time determining my own limited net worth. Tax time is a nightmare because I have to remember which accounts I have, which ones are generating income, whether I can deduct any of my earned income, etc. so I understood that you didn't bother with a consolidated financial report. I could also relate to your desire to minimize your income to avoid paying taxes. KJU doesn't have to mess with financial statements and taxes so he won't care about that.
The "essential con" that I'm afraid will get you in trouble with KJU is #4"To be a winner, Trump makes losers of those he does business with." Greenberg suggests that most deals with you do not have happy endings. He provides lots of examples to support his point. KJU may worry about a deal that includes a promise to stay out of the internal politics of North Korea, especially when he looks at what's going on with Venezuela right now.
I wish you were the kind of friend I could trust. I'm afraid that I'm not there yet. Perhaps if you were more inclined to trust other people, I would find it easier to trust you. Who DO you trust these days?
Maybe Ivanka?
I look forward to hearing your answer.
