It's wet here! We got an inch of rain yesterday. Yeah!

Please help me understand why you went to Camp David for about 4 hours yesterday. Why travel all that way to sit in a short meeting and then come right back to DC? Seems strange to me.

Have you met Thom Tillis, the NC Senator from the GOP, who wrote an op-ed piece in the Hill on Jan 4 calling for compromise to end the shutdown? He wants a package that beefs up border security and takes care of the DREAMERS. It may be worth looking into. Interestingly none of the 3 NC papers that I looked at covered Tillis' statements. I guess the recent snowstorm was more important.

I was able to find a story about the Halloween dog costume party that Sen. Tillis hosted in 2017. That looked like fun. He seems like a nice guy. I like the fact that he entered politics to campaign for a mountain bike trail. Apparently, he's vulnerable to be voted out of office in 2020. I'm sure we'll get to know him better in the next couple of years.

Have you called RBG? I'm sure you are aware that she is missing her first Supreme Court session today as she recovers from cancer surgery. Her stamina is incredible. Yours is impressive, too. Mine, not so much. I have a mild cold and am feeling sluggish. I will go into work today but will probably take it easy.

I encourage you to stop tweeting about fake news and total fiction. Why not try a new, more uplifting message, or better yet, just stop tweeting. Less screen time would do you a world of good.
