My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

            How are you today? You don’t have anything on your schedule, so I hope you are ok.

            If someone asks, “how are you?”,  you can say, you are “sensational.”

WE are sensational! You, me, my husband, my BFF, all of us. Every single human on this planet is sensational. It is inarguable that every person, even those who have been paralyzed, experience sensations. Neurons in some part of their bodies are firing. This transfer of energy from one cell to another is what animates us. It is the miracle of life.

            In addition to that, we are each unique. Given we have 3 billion base pairs of DNA, it’s unlikely that any two humans would be identical at birth. Once they start existing on the planet, even if they were identical, they’d develop differently. We know that from observing identical twins. So in the sense of being exceptional, we are all sensational!

            I believe that this diversity is cause for celebration! Don’t you? These distinct individuals give us so much potential to imagine, innovate, improve the world. If we can cooperate, we can solve so many problems!!

            Right now, I hope you’ll try to settle things down so we can get busy working on ending poverty, mitigating climate change & ending war.

Today I am particularly concerned about the IRS. According to ABC News, it’s in a state of turmoil due to leadership churn, worker exodus & threats to groups’ tax-exempt status. My husband & I have an unusual tax situation this year & are waiting to hear back from the IRS about next steps. So far, radio silence. We’re doing our best on our end but, given that institutional memory is in short supply over there, I am doubtful that anyone has time for us, as they are busy processing the more typical returns.

            Please also give some attention to Burma. According to the Irrawaddy, since the earthquake the junta is feeling emboldened because diplomats are now willing to talk to them. Moreover, “the Chinese are there, manipulating the situation on the ground to secure their long-term geostrategic interests.” Given your desire to dampen XJ’s influence, you might want to do more to help the citizens there.

            Let’s both take some deep breaths & try not to overextend our selves.
