My Dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

Time is of the essence! Being a developer, you’ve seen that phrase on every construction contract you’ve signed, used to indicate that the job needs to get done ASAP.

I think “time is of the essence” belongs in poems, not in contracts. Don’t you think?

Speaking of time, I’m sure you know that Cory Booker set a new record by speaking on the Senate floor for 25 hours, 4 minutes, about his concerns about your actions. The G called it a “primal scream of resistance.”

I hope you read the news in the AP that  a 63-year old woman was successfully pulled out of the rubble 91 hours after being buried. Experts are doubtful that other survivors will be found. It’s too bad that the US aid has been so slow arriving in Burma.

Speaking of timing, are you sure you want to launch “Liberation Day” now? Many economists think it’s not a the right moment as inflation lingers & uncertainty is high. The cost of a new car could go up by $5000. Giving yourself more time would enable you to clarify whether to you plan to use the tariffs to negotiate so foreign countries bring down their own tariffs & we have free trade  or keep them in place indefinitely so more factories are built in the USA. As you know, those new plants won’t come online anytime soon. Moreover, automation will limit the number of jobs they provide. My dad would tell you to scrap the whole idea & open up the markets.

My writing time is up, so I will close.

BYBS,
