            Welcome back to the USA! Have you recovered from your jet lag? Do you even get jet lag? Anyway, it’s good to have you back.

            Whoever put the lineup together for tonight’s Junteenth event was a genius! They are normalizing working hard into the 8th decade of life. Brilliant!

Do you know what Patti LaBelle & Gladys Knight are going to sing? Maybe they’ll sing together.

Have you met Raheem DeVaughn before? In my Google search I learned he is the Marvin Gay of the 2nd millennium, because his records include songs about love/romance as well as raps about social issues. His album title, The Love & War MasterPeace, was particularly intriguing to me.

            Google alerted me to the fact that today is the Dragon Boat Festival, a Chinese holiday on the 5th day of the 5th month of the lunar calendar. Some say the day honors the life of  Qu Yuan, a brave poet who stood up to King Fuchai (KF). He wrote lines like, “Unflinchingly I still shall follow truth, Nor care if I am slain.”  KF forced him to commit suicide by drowning. His fans tried to save him by paddling into the Miluo River, but they were too late. Reminds me of Socrates.

The Annapolis Dragon Boat Club already hosted their race on the Potomac. Hopefully you’ll still be in the WH next year & you can host an event in honor of the Dragon Boat Festival.

I doubt they are having much of celebration in Burma today. RFA says, “Myanmar junta halfway to recapturing Kayah state capital.” Have you considered recognizing the NUG?

I hope that the resignations of Benny Gantz & Gadi Eisenkot accelerate the end of Israeli’s bombardment of Palestine. AJ says it won’t. What do you think?
