My Dear Friend & President, JRB,
Are you having a quiet morning? I am. Sort of. I have figured out I can distract the puppies by throwing small handfuls of kibble on the floor. They get busy hunting for food which avoids noisy fighting. I toss a bit every 90 seconds or so. The brain stimulation seems to calm them, too. In any case, we’ve avoided waking the neighbors.
The result of this strategy will be a disjoint letter to you. Sorry about that.
I have one observation & one suggestion.
Observation: Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury speculates in the EurAsian Times that “US Desperate for Military Base in Bangladesh; Conspires to Carve New State from B’Desh & Myanmar.” He suggests that we have joined with other Western nations in a plan to create a Christian state on Saint Martin Island. The Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) & several regional insurgency groups, including Paresh Baruah, of the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), are supposed to be in on the plan. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina supposedly made some veiled references to this in recent statements. Is there any truth to this?
Suggestion: Read Dr. Jerel Ezell’s Op-Ed piece in the NYT today & start talking to Black voters about climate change & environmental issues. You might begin by listening to the concerns of folks in Milwaukee who are worried about the expansion of I-94 & the increased storm runoff that the extra pavement will yield. People in Merrill Park (54% Black, 19% Hispanic or Latino) & National Park (7% Black, 73% Hispanic or Latino) already have flood problems causing sewage overflows & basement backups. They are frustrated that the runoff analysis will not be analyzed until late in the project. Some wonder why we are wasting $$ to build bigger roads when all they do is exacerbate traffic problems. Talking specifics with voters will show that you are doing your homework & that you care!
BYBS,
