My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            How was your Thanksgiving? Did you take the polar plunge? Will you be having lunch at Brotherhood of Thieves & going to the tree lighting event? Next year I encourage you to join the Brent Point Runners in their T-Day 5K.

I had a blast in the Run to Feed the Hungry through East Sac yesterday. My 79-year-old buddy & I run/walked it in about 45 minutes dodging some of the 31,283 other participants. We saw lots of turkey hats & a few blow up outfits. The most memorable were the folk in pink Easter Bunny suits carrying red Solo cups & acting tipsy. About 7 bands lined the route & the rich folks on 41st hosted lawn parties. I am now considering a Polar Plunge run in March & the Bay to Breakers in May. Want to join me?

Your news of the day had to do with teaming with 45/47 to push for getting the hostages out of Gaza. Omer Neutra’s family had an empty chair at the dinner last night & used the occasion to remind the world of their plight. Please check in with them to give them an update.

Have you been briefed on the law that the Thai cabinet is considering that would allow the government to dissolve non-profit organizations for actions deemed “contrary to the law or public morality” or that “may endanger public peace or national security” which would effectively curb freedom of association. Fortify Rights is making some noise about this & I urge you to listen because it will affect many who are helping Burmese refugees in places like Mae Sot.
