My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            Did you hear the crazy statement made by Sen Ted Cruz (REC) about a pilot being a “transgendered witch?” The WP included it in their story about your possible appointment of Michael Whitaker (MGW) to head up the FAA. The NGPA took great issue with REC & noted that an inclusive flight deck is a safe flight deck. They point out that aviation professionals (should be) empowered to freely express & bring their whole selves to work. I agree!

            MGW’s job at Supernal suggests that he must be a forward thinker. They plan to manufacture a fleet of flying taxis by 2028 & have already opened their first vertiport in Coventry in the UK. Do you think that they can fulfill their promise of making their eVTOL powered flying machines affordable?

            Did you see any protestors at Ramstein AFB today? They were out in force in June suggesting the base be closed down. Stars & Stripes reports that the protestors are all VVP sympathizers, but I know that some are folks, like me, who believe WINTA. Please keep that in mind.

            I was saddened to see the news in the Mizzima today that, “A National League for Democracy (NLD) ward chairman in Yegyi Township, Ayeyarwady Region was arrested in the wake of a grenade attack on junta officials & reportedly tortured to death.” As you talk to your buddies at the G20, please ask about Burma.

            Please also ask PM Traudeau about David Wallace-Wells (DWW)’ distressing piece in the NYT today which claimed, “Canada is one of the few countries with more per capita CO2 emissions than the United States.” DWW suggests that we need to do a lot more than just plant trees, so please make climate change top of the agenda in your G20 talks.
