My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            I hope you have fun at the Amtrak Bear Maintenance Shops today. I love the train & hope to use it often once I move to WSWC. I had second thoughts when I took the train from DAV to SAC on Sat. & was delayed by about 10 minutes because a 150-car freight train had to use the tracks. Can you fix that?

            What’s your favorite Bible verse? Mine is Matthew 5: 44   where Jesus says, “love your enemies & pray for those who persecute you.” It’s at the root of WINTA. Choosing love over hate enables us to be self-sovereigning by controlling our anger & not becoming poisoned by it. It prevents my enemy from turning ME into a monster.

            If you want to see a nice example of that, check out today’s NYT’s story about a Jewish San Franciscan whose ice cream store was vandalized by an antisemite. She is getting back in business & says, “ ‘I want to offer a message of resilience & love.’ Asked what she’d say to the person who attacked her store, she said, “I would invite them to have some ice cream with me.”

            Per usual, I urge you to keep an eye on Burma. As I have shared previously, Operation 1027 has gotten China’s attention. The last thing the folks need in Northern Burma is an invasion from the Chinese army. I have a hard time imagining that happening, but I couldn’t have imagined the events of 10/7/2023 in Israel, 1/6/2021 in the Capitol or 9/11/2021 in NYC either.

            God is Change & sometimes things get worse before they get better.
