My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            Yosemite was great – perfect weather, spectacular scenery, stimulating company & exhilarating hiking. I am ready to face the new quarter with vigor. Thanks for supporting our National Parks. They are a treasure.

            Do you have any news for Brittney Greiner’s family? I know how eager they are to have her home. Her minor error of carrying cannabis does not warrant a multi-year prison sentence. I hope that Bill Richardson is able to work a deal on her behalf. He’s worked his magic elsewhere, although it seems he may sometimes embarrass himself. Fingers crossed he’s on his best behavior in Moscow.

            Speaking of best behavior, what do you think of South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Farmgate situation? I’m sure you were briefed on it so you know that he had $4 million stuffed in sofas on his ranch. When robbers stole it, he tried to get it back on the down-low, but word leaked out & voters now think he’s just another corrupt politician. He may not be in office much longer so take that into account as you talk about why he hasn’t condemned VVP for invading Ukraine.

            I will close with my usual plea to recognize the NUG. If you do, the UN might do the same & the people of Burma will be represented there.
