My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            I’m sure you noticed all those BTS fans going wild outside the WH yesterday. I understand that the press briefing room was packed, too. It seems that BTS is more popular than you.

Thanks for promoting Asian inclusivity by inviting BTS to the WH. I didn’t recognize those teens in their dark suits, ties, black hair & clean faces & was surprised that their message to reporters was so short. I especially liked V’s statement that “we hope today is one step forward to respecting and understanding each and every one as a valuable person.”

Did they teach you any dance moves when they visited you in the Oval Office? Why was that part of their visit closed to the press?

            It seems that you had plenty to talk about with Jacinda Ardern as your visit went overtime. I know you were eager to share strategies for consoling those who lost loved ones in mass shootings. I hope she had some helpful advice for you. Did you know she is one of only 2 world leaders to give birth while in office? As you said, she’s “galvanizing.”

            Speaking of galvanizing, I am excited that Linda Fagan will become the first female to lead a branch of the Armed Forces. It’s great that you can be part of the Coast Guard Change of Command Ceremony. She’s got an impressive resume, especially her 2-year stint as the only woman on the Polar Star. Please support her efforts to change the “up or out” system.

I hope Operation Fly Formula helps the moms of America get what they need. This situation is another reminder that capitalism does not always work well.

            Today’s news of the bombings in Yangon is discouraging. Folks should be able to go to a bus stop without fearing for their lives. Please pray for some progress in Burma.

            Finally, please make sure the WH is flying the Rainbow Flag in honor of Pride month.
