My dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            What a delight to “meet’ your EPA guy, Michael Regan! I put meet in quotes because I didn’t encounter him in person, I just watched him at your press conference in Lorain yesterday. In addition to his winning smile, he seems sincere in his desire to promote environmental justice while doing the CCC thing.

It was uplifting to see how excited everyone at the event was, especially Rep. Marcy Kaptor (OH-9), who surprised me when she proclaimed that Toni Morison came from Lorain. It’s too bad that none of the news outlets covered the event. They’re too busy writing about the situation in the Ukraine.

            Speaking of which according to the CSM, Russia is losing its propaganda campaign as it tries to seed anxiety among the citizens of Kiev. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal says, “panic sentiments are a gift to the enemy. Panic destroys states better than tanks and assault rifles,” so it’s an act of defiance to resist efforts to generate fear.

            The people of Myanmar have responded in the same way to the junta’s intimidation. Perhaps that’s the good side of social media. For every threat, there are twice as many voices of dissent which help keep fear at bay. Please do what you can to help the citizens of Ukraine & Myanmar remain calm.

            I was happy to see that German foreign minister, Annalena Baerbock, is entertaining the possibility of shutting down Nord Stream 2. I’m sure that VVP is cringing, especially because that news came from a woman.

            Thanks for spreading good news about the Great Lakes yesterday.
