My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            Happy 3rd Day of Hannukah! It’s always nice when Hannukah & Christmas coincide so Jewish kids & Christian kids get some time off school to indulge in the celebrations. I wish they weren’t so focused on gifts.

            I was intrigued to learn that menorahs are put in windows so everyone will know that the holiday is being observed. According to NPR reporter, Deena Prichep,  “There is a phrase in the Talmud - pirsumei nisa - that tells Jews to publicize the miracle… Lighting a candle, or twisting a bulb, is a way of literally identifying yourself, but also a way of kindling a light in dark times and welcoming others to do the same.” Displaying the menorah is an act of courage now-a-days with the rise in antisemitism. Thanks for finally getting a menorah for the White House to show our solidarity with our Jewish neighbors.

            Please reconsider giving Volodymyr Zelensky those Patriot missiles. Please do encourage him to figure out a diplomatic end to the war. VVP needs to save face so some kind of concession is in order. WINTA!!!

            Speaking of concessions & diplomacy, please give some attention to the situation in Burma. According to the International crisis group, the “NUG has managed to sustain its fundraising campaign with creative tactics, but these would benefit from additional outside expertise, particularly when it comes to ensuring data security so that contributors are safe from the junta’s retribution... To reach as many people as possible, international actors should send aid through multiple channels, including cross-border assistance – in goods where feasible, but also in the form of cash – and non-state service delivery systems, such as those run by ethnic armed groups.”
