            Did you see the cute piece on the turkey pardon in the G today, calling you, “Grandpa-in-chief” & saying you have “shown the world that old dogs can learn new tricks?” The only critique related to your reponse to finding out that Chocolate & Chip came from a flock of 9.5 million.

            It’ll be a beautiful day in Nantucket tomorrow to continue your week of family fun. Do you have to bring so much security apparatus? According to the Nantucket Current, “multiple C-17 Globemaster aircraft (have) arrived …. to drop off personnel, vehicles, & equipment, including an air defense system that was spotted off Old South Road on Sat.” That costs lots of $$ & contributes to global warming. I encourage you to scale back to do your part in decarbonizing.

            I hope that Ron DeSantis doesn’t send refugees to Nantucket while you’re there. Residents got geared up this fall after the Argentinians arrived in Martha’s Vineyard. Perhaps RD will refrain given that the “immigrants were not met with chaos, they were met with compassion… The community coming together with water, food, interpretation help, and resources to support these families represent the best of America." That’s what Rep Bill Keating had to say about the debacle.

            While you are talking to reporters, please mention the BURMA Act. Better yet, call Sen Reed (RI), Sen Inhofe (R,OK), Rep Smith (WA-9), & Rep. Rogers (R,AL-3) & make sure they put the BUMRA Amendment in the NDAA.

            Speaking of the NDAA, I hope it does not include a requirement for women to sign up for Selective Service. I would love to see us get rid of Selective Service completely. Better yet, cut the military in half & stop recruiting kids from our lowest income community to join up. Training people to kill is a bad idea.

            I understand that you got involved in the rail strike. How about getting involved in the UC strike?
