My Dear Friend & POTUS, JRB,

            It looks like you had fun with Dodgers yesterday. It’s too bad that your sense of humor can be a bit offensive in such moments. Apparently, Mookie Betts (MB) didn’t crack a smile when you tried to tease him about switching from the Red Sox to the Dodgers.

            MB’s quite a character & is capitalizing on his prowess on the field. His Twitter feed includes an incredible video of his tapping a pitch, catching it himself & then handing it to the catcher. The guy is coordinated! He advertises Body Armour & Warzone & is featured in a recent GQ. I look forward to learning more about him.

            I hope you enjoy visiting Northwest MI today. I’ll be heading to the other side of the MI mitten next week. When you check out the cherry trees, you’ll probably hear about the terrible harvest they are having. It’s the second year in a row so the farmers are starting to fret. Apparently, they have plenty of reserves so we’ll still be able to find cherry Danish, at least for the time being.

            Have you heard about the new fad in China called, “tangping”? I just read about it in the NYT. Some of the young folk are “defying the country’s long held prosperity narrative” and are lying down rather than work 996. The censors are trying to eliminate all mention of tangping from social media, but that makes it only that much more enticing. Wouldn’t it be nice if Xi Jingping toned down the rhetoric & promoted a more tranquil, less intense narrative so that the Chinese people could relax?
