            How are things in Nantucket? It looks like you are having s sunny end-of-fall day. Perfect for a bike ride.

            I took a bike ride around the island of Nantucket in the spring of 1986 when my partner & I lucked out & got to use a summer cottage for a long weekend. It was one of those romantic adventures you take for granted when you are 26. Sadly, my husband can no longer ride a bike. So, I encourage you to take advantage of your physical health while you still can.

            Some folks wonder about the optics of your spending Thanksgiving at the home of an uber-wealthy guy who struck it rich with leveraged buy-outs. He may be engaging in “patriotic philanthropy,” but he is still a 1%er.

            Please ask your host whether he thinks inflation is here to stay. The jury is out, but economists seem to agree that public perception can fuel it, so good on you for making a speech yesterday to calm folks’ fears. We have a lot of educating to do to help the young people understand how economic forces work so they don’t panic.

            Did you see that the NUG in Burma has raised $6.5 million in a bond sale? Perhaps your host would like to put some of his billions in that venture.

            I will cut my note short today, so I can spend time with my kid.  Our time together is precious, as you well know.
