            I hope you have a joyous Sat.  and get out on this sunny day for a bike ride.

            I got a kick out of seeing you so jovial at the turkey pardon yesterday. The WP reported that you were in Uncle Joe mode, “playful, relaxed, delivering bad jokes with good humor,” such as the one about the turkeys being IN new power couple. We all know the whole turkey pardon thing is just a big advertisement for the National Turkey Federation. Speaking of which, they are having trouble delivering small, fresh turkeys due to shipping challenges. The timing has to be perfect to get those perishable turkeys to market & that’s tricky these days. Big, frozen gobblers will be easier to come by, so America will be enjoying more leftovers this Thanksgiving.

How did KDH enjoy her stint as POTUS? I think it’s great that we had a XX POTUS even if only for 85 minutes.

            Is Jill throwing you a birthday party today? Will KLS & JM3 be coming? If so, you could continue to try & talk them into voting for BBB. The NYT says it’s hard to put a price tag on it. Things like SALT make for complicated accounting. When someone gets to write-off their Manhattan taxes, is that a tax cut? $200 billion for paid family leave certainly counts as new spending, but what about prescription drug price reductions? If you have to limit the spending to 5 yrs to get JM3 to sign on, I suggest you do.

            I share your disappointment about the Rittenhouse verdict. I agree with former Kenosha County Board member, Dayvin Hallmon, “focusing only on the verdict is scapegoating the real problem, which is the fact the opportunities for the young Black and brown residents of Kenosha are dismal as sXXt.” Let’s work on that.

            Please call Yanghee Lee to talk about Myanmar. She proposes that to “cut the weapons, cut the cash, cut the impunity” to the junta. I think she knows what she’s talking about.
