            Congratulations on getting BBB through the House. Now we just have convince Manchinema to get on board.

            How was the 3 Amigos reunion yesterday? I read that AMLO has some ideas about helping us with our labor shortage & that JPJT has questions about the Made-in-the-USA electric vehicle incentive we recently passed. I hope you all made a pact to do more about climate change as we work to renew our friendship.

            I understand that you are having a colonoscopy today. I had mine a couple of weeks ago. Don’t you hate the prep? That disgusting beverage that you have to imbibe is awful! Thanks for handing over the reins to KDH while you’re under the anesthesia. I’m sure she’ll use her power wisely.

            Several of today’s Op Ed writers tried to explain why your approval ratings are low despite your success in passing the agenda you promised. Robert Reich suggests that after all we’ve been through in the past couple of years, we set our hopes too high. He asserts that we are never satisfied, writing, “Social psychologists have long understood that losing something of value generates more anguish than obtaining it generated happiness in the first place.” David Brooks explains that people distrust change & applauds your efforts to reduce inequality & spread opportunity. Frank Bruni points out that you’ve been able to pass “a troika of trillions,” & “that’s not nothing.” He concludes that the cynicism around your victories is “off base. While it pantomimes sophistication, it reeks of simple-mindedness.”

            Please continue to monitor the situation in Myanmar & look for openings to reduce the suffering there.

            Have fun pardoning Peanut Butter & Jelly. I hope those two turkeys are thankful for the pampered lives they lead.
