My dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

            I see that you hosted some nice folk yesterday who had positive experiences with the police. It’s reassuring to know that individuals can be helpful in a crisis. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if all of the stories about the police were like those that you were hearing yesterday? I wonder what conditions we would need in this world so that Black & Brown kids would know that everyone would treat them with respect.

            It would help if they were surrounded by positive images of the accomplishments of African-Americans. That’s why I love that folks in MI are trying to change the name of Calhoun County to Truth County. Calhoun was Andrew Jackson’s VP & a staunch defender of slavery. Wouldn’t it be great for the 14,000 Black folk in that county to know that they are living in a place named for Sojourner Truth? If you came out in support of this name change idea, the Obama-Trump voters of Calhoun-Truth County might go your way in Nov. Right now, according to the Guardian, it’s anyone’s race in Battle Creek, MI.

            Please do all you can to persuade folks to wear their masks & stay home. We can’t get kids back into classrooms until we get control of CV. We need that to happen sooner, rather than later. Do your best to listen to Dr. Fauci. I think he knows what he’s talking about.
