DJT,
I am worried about armed civilians showing up to rallies. I have mentioned this before, but now that we’ve had a shooting in Albuquerque, I have to bring it up again. Police Brutality at protests is bad enough, but civilians shooting each other is terrorizing. I would love to see the end of open carry of guns in all states. Then we won’t have creepy characters intimidating folks & won’t have to worry that one of them makes a bad choice when words are exchanged. I don’t think you want folks with guns at your rallies, so let’s not have folks with guns at other rallies either.
I saw that you had a WH roundtable yesterday to acknowledge World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. I was happy to hear Chief PO Inspector Gary Barksdale talking about his efforts to prosecute the $$ mules who are in on the fraud schemes that rob old folks. We have a friend whose dad lost most of his savings to some guys in Jamaica. My daughter worked at Target & her co-worker prevented an old man from buying gift cards while being coached on the phone by a scammer. The one that really gets me are when someone calls and says, “Grandma, I’m in trouble & I need some $$.” Let’s do more to prevent this kind of thing!!!
Please encourage USPS Inspector General, Tammy Whitcomb, to be on high alert. You are well aware that the new Postmaster General, your BFF Louis DeJoy, has some conflicts of interest due to his investments of between 30 & 75 million in PO competitors. It’s going to be hard for him to promote the success of the USPS with those investments. Strict oversight is order, don’t you think?
I know that you are keen to have a rally. If you must, please do it outside. The increase in CV cases in OK is NOT due to testing. The overall # of tests performed the week of June 7 (29,003) was lower than the # of tests in recent weeks — May 24 (33,354) and May 31 (44,219). The virus is spreading in OK, especially in Tulsa, & convening 19000 people indoors for several hours is just a bad idea.
HYITL,
