My dear Friend & POTUS, DJT,

            It’s 6:15 AM & as soon as I finish my cup of decaf, I’m heading out with my shopping list, mask on my face & gloves on my hands to do that scary thing called, grocery shopping. I’m hoping to beat the “crowds.” I also have several meetings today so this is my only time to get to the store.

I understand that you are not wearing a mask when you are encouraging everyone else to do so. Please realize that many people emulate you, so if you want them wearing masks, you need to put one on. My mom would be happy to sew one for you. You could choose the fabric and make a fashion statement.

            I appreciate your efforts to help the faithful to resist the strong urge to gather together today & on Sunday. This Holy Week is forcing us to reconcile our beliefs in the power of science and the power of our faith. I hope that Bishop Harry Jackson’s Good Friday prayer at the WH today will help folks with that.

Please call your buddies, Jerry Falwell, Jr. & Jonathan Shuttlesworth, to help them to understand that love in the time of CV means keeping your distance.

            I wonder what Jesus would say to them.
