My dear Friend and POTUS, DJT,

            Happy Sunday! It’s going to be a glorious day here. Our plum trees are in full bloom and our cherries and crab apples are about to pop. It looks like you are having a nice day, too, and your bloom will be coming soon.

Since you have an open calendar, I hope you will take a few minutes to convene your loved ones to do whatever brings you spiritual sustenance. I worry that you are in a frenzy right now and a pause for reflection will help you to center.

            When you do pause, please hold all of the people in Afghanistan in the Light. Their war has made them weary. They will need all of the energy that they can muster to figure out a compromise so they can stop fighting. Some jihadists have been fighting for so long that they don’t know what else to do. Blowing up bridges and attacking police has become a way of life. They will need all of the help they can get to find a new way of living in the world. One way you can help is to insist that women participate in the next step of the peace process. It’s not too late, and they are ready to get involved.
