My dear Friend, DJT,

It’s windy here today. I hope it portends change. I could use some change in my life. I would like to hug my friends rather than talk to them on Zoom. I would like to get in an airplane & visit my mom. I would like my husband to have a new lease on life. I would like my colleagues to appreciate one another. I continue to hold out hope that these things can happen & for the time being, I will “be the change that I want to see in the world.” By the way, that’s not exactly what Ghandi said, but it’s close enough.

It looks like you enjoyed your visit to the Treworgy Family Orchards in Levant, ME yesterday. I hope the 3000 people who came to see you did not damage the property. Did you get a chance to hear some Maine accents? Perhaps Constance Mensink had one. You will recall that you signed her hat, which warmed her heart so much that she told the Portland Press Herald that she felt the love that you had for “America & the voters.” I hope that love extends to ALL of the voters.

I’m sure you were as disturbed as I was to hear about the skirmishes in the Times Square among voters of various persuasions. I saw a video in the WP & it reminded me of the fights I used to break up among junior high kids. They weren’t trying to hurt each other; they were just defending their honors. Tonight, I will be attending a webinar led by a Quaker who is teaching “Alternative to Violence” strategies so we are prepared for whatever may come in the next week.

Perhaps you could urge voters to love one another when you visit PA today so folks don’t get violent with each other. That’s not what democracy is all about.

            HYITL,

            RCA

PS -  Wasn’t it nice to see Clayton Kershaw get the “win” last night. He wasn’t “locked in” but he was good enough. That’s all we can ask for.
