My dear Friend, DJT,

I am going to worship with Friends at our Meeting House today. We will be sitting outside, 6 feet apart, on our front lawn. We will meet with Friends who Zoom with us from their homes. Only of a few of us are under 70, so the gathering may be small. We will hold you in the Light.

            I regret that you can’t take time out of your busy schedule for some spiritual sustenance today. I believe that your visit to the International Church of Las Vegas last Sunday helped you to show your better angels in the debate this week. More contemplation might help you to show that side of yourself for the next 10 days. Who knows – you might win back a few of those suburban women & folks over 70 who are disturbed by your lack of civility.

            If you want the senior citizen vote, you need to show that you are taking CV seriously. One way to do that is to insist that MRP quarantine himself, just like everyone else who has had close contact with a CV positive person is supposed to do. Marc Short may keep a low profile, but as MRP’s top guy, he most certainly has been in frequent close contact with him. It would be terrible for MRP to be a super spreader.

While it baffles me that you are going to NH today, I’m not going to spend much time thinking about that. I am much more interested in the World Series. Did you see the end of the last night’s game. It was crazy! Do you think Clayton Kershaw can manage to pitch LA to win #3 today? Isn’t it odd that the best pitcher in baseball tends to choke in October? According to the Guardian, he “dazzles as often as he combusts,” so it will be fascinating to see if he’s in control of his sliders & curveballs tonight. We’ll see if his better angels prevail.
