         I will be holding us all in the Light this morning at Meeting for Worship. I have no idea how you should proceed with Iran & Iraq except to say that WAR IS NOT THE ANSWER. No one else has any suggestions either. Susan Rice asserts, “Iran’s response will likely be multifaceted and occur at unpredictable times and in multiple places,” but she doesn’t recommend a remedy. The NYT editorial board wants GOP Senators to “restrain” you but that’s not an action plan & the WP editors provided a critique of the killing QS but don’t have a proposal either. The Guardian indicates that teens in the US are “panicking” that they might be drafted, so much so that the SSS website crashed. The LA Times reminds us that 5 Americans are in great danger in Iranian jails, one of whom may be starving to death.

         Given the gravity of this situation, I hope you will refrain from golf today and instead, go back to the Family Church and pray for divine inspiration for next steps in Iran and Iraq.
