My Dear Friend and President, DJT,

I understand that things got hot in Utica yesterday. Syracuse.com reported that your banquet room in Hotel Utica was so hot that some people had to be escorted out. Apparently, the exchanges on the streets outside got pretty hot too, when your 100 supporters and 500 protesters spent the afternoon screaming at each other.

I was sorry to hear that you did some mud slinging in your remarks. The NYT claims you spent more time attacking Gov. Coumo and Senator Gillibrand than you did supporting Claudia Tenney including calling Kristen G., "a puppet." I think you know her well enough to know that's not true. She and I both went to Dartmouth College when women were in the minority and I know not one of us was a "puppet."

I understand you will have a conversation with Mike Pompeo today. Are you going to be talking about whether to call the atrocities against the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar a "genocide"? Politico says the US has collected 15,000 pages of data about what happened there last year, and no matter what you call it, it's awful. It's a warning to the world about the dangers of a government dominated by the military and a population that has vilified a religious minority. I find it hard to imagine that Buddhist monks would lead a virulent anti-Muslim campaign, but according to the Diplomat, that's what's going on in Myanmar. I'm sure Aung San Sou Kyi is distraught about the whole thing. Maybe you should give her a call.

I encourage you to talk with Mike about the Saudi led airstrike in Yemen that led to the death of 40 children, including a bunch of boys on a school bus. That was a huge mistake, and I hope you guys can persuade Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to apologize for it.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could all live in peace? Then you could just enjoy your vacation by playing golf and hanging out with Barron.

Take care,

RCA
