DJT,
I had to lock our foster dog in the bathroom because it's the only place he won't bark. When he's in there, he just cries - a pitiful, anxious cry, made bearable by the fact that he is behind a closed door. He is a super cute, orangish 10-pound ball of energy. I thought he'd make a good pet for my mom. Now I'm having second thoughts. I'm going to give him one more chance - I think he has worms and they make him ravenously hungry so he barks to get food. We'll see.
I write about the mundane matter of my little dog because I am having trouble connecting with you on the more presidential matters of the day. I don't know what to say about this guy, Whitaker, who has some connection to a shady company that was fined $26 million. Do we want a person who doesn't respect the law in charge of the Justice department?
I am intrigued with your visit to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetary today. I hope you will seek out the graves of some of the Black soldiers who are buried there. Apparently the 369th Infantry fought in that part of the country and the French called them the "Men of Bronze." They fought on the front lines in WWI for longer than any other unit. I encourage you to pay your respects to them.
OK - the dog is going crazy so I'd better rescue him.
Please be your best self today.
