My dear Friends and President, DJT
It's another smoky day and my throat is scratchy. How did things go on your visit yesterday? Don't you love Jerry Brown? He always knows just what to say. I'll miss him. Gavin Newsom is a bit too slick for my taste.
You might have wondered why I abbreviated my salutation in the past few letters. As you may know your website has a maximum 2000 characters for each submission. On Nov 5 I bumped up against the limit and the easiest thing to do was shorten the intro. I hope you were not offended.
It's nice that you are being so solicitous of Nancy Pelosi these days. I am not sure that your motives are pure, but it's nice that you tweeted such complimentary things about her. Personally, I would like to see some new faces in the leadership of Congress. What do you think of Marcia Fudge from Ohio's 11th? She's been the chair of the Black Caucus and has some great ideas. She says she believe in bottom up governing and voters are telling her that they don't feel like the government is serving them. She's even willing to help you if your goals align. She thinks infrastructure would be a good place to start. Maybe you should take some time to meet with her and hear more of her ideas. You might be able to collaborate. She said she wouldn't go after you because she does not want to see any President treated the way that Barak was treated. I whole heartedly agree with that sentiment. I hope she decides to run for Speaker.
It'll be interested to see if the Problem Solvers Bi-Partisan Caucus has much influence in this House Speaker race. I like their mission of trying to figure things out across party lines even if they haven't been too successful with that. I also like that their Dem leader, Tim Ryan, uses meditation as a tool for dealing with stress. Why not invite him to the WH and have him lead some meditation sessions? I think you'd find it helpful.
Have a great day,
RCA
