My dear Friend and President, DJT,
Don't you wish you had more time? I sure do! Today I am running low on time because my sleep schedule is off and I can't get up as early as I'd like. So, I missed out on a chance to do a couple of critical garden tasks. Hopefully I will be able to accomplish a lot at work today, but it always seems that there's something I didn't get to at the end of the day. I guess that's life.
So, you got back late from your Mississippi "rescue mission". That's what the WP called your effort to retain the Senate seat that's up for grabs today. They noted that you "dove into the cultural firestorm" and bemoaned the fact that Cindy Hyde-Smith "rejuvenated old stereo types" and reminded people of the "darkest days of MS history" with her remark about a public hanging. I am not sure people will agree with your assessment that "it was a little flip." Perhaps your remark about your resemblance to Elvis will distract some voters from her faux pas.
Did you get a chance to check out the newly rebuilt port in Gulfport? It's the kind of infrastructure development you might consider. It's been raised up 14 feet so they don't have the same devastation as they had with Katrina. $570 million of HUD money will enable Chiquita to unload containers of bananas into trains and trucks for the next 40 years. Yeah!
Are you ready for your trip to the G-20 in Buenos Aires? The Financial Times says you and Xi Jinping are going to have a "showdown" there. That sounds exciting!
May you treasure the time you have today,
RCA
