My dear Friend and president, DJT,

            Sorry I didn't have time to write yesterday. I took the red eye from SMF and it turned into more of a black eye - delayed flight leads to a sprint through SFO airport, reminding me that I am not in proper shape, missed the plane by 2 minutes. End up flying through Houston. All's well that ends well. Arrived safe and sound. The delay was caused by a problem with the air traffic controllers. I suspect we need more of those. Can you help with that?

            I am now in Minneapolis on the 8th floor of the Double Tree getting ready to meet up with my people. 500 elementary school educators from all over the country are assembled to talk about how kids think. It's a fascinating topic! I am most interested in how kids think about shapes. I encourage you to spend some time talking to Arabella, Spencer and Joseph about the shapes in the WH. Better yet, get all the grandkids together to look at the plans for that condo project in Punta del Este, Uruguay. It's got some cool shapes in it. Too bad that project has hit some snags. I guess that selling real estate to tax evaders entails some risk. Anyway, the grandkids will surprise you when you start ask them to tell you about what they are thinking. I encourage you to give it a try.

            I hope you have fun at the Presidential Scholars photo op today. Be on the lookout for the two kids from San Diego's Canyon Crest Academy. Anne Liuis a pianist and is worried about kids being stressed. She thinks we should stop emphasizing the accumulation of honors and instead  "focus on the fruits of knowledge we receive through the achievement." You should also reach out to Katrina Pokorny from Waupun WI, an FFA kid, who has a business making beauty projects from the beeswax she gets from her brother's hives. She went to Haiti with her mom last year to get some women started on their own businesses. Smart kids who have something to teach us all. I wish I could be there!!!
