           Was your statement yesterday at the celebration with the Black Knights about granting service academy athletes a waiver to serve their terms of duty after their sports career inspired by my letter? I like to think so. Like any waiver, it might be hard to draw the line. You know how creative people can be about bending rules in their favor. Since I'm not a big fan of the military, I'm ok with bending rules about service responsibilities. It was nice of you to give the guys a chance to talk to the crowd. Too bad they didn't have much to say beyond "Go Army." 

           Send my regards to Melania on her big Be Best Day today. Tell her to ignore the folks who are making fun of the whole thing. Speaking out against opioid abuse and cyberbullying is a good thing. I'm sure she's eager for you to take her advice. 

           I am a bit discombobulated today because I had to stay up until 1:00 to pick up my daughter from the airport so now I have to run to be ready for class this morning. Students are sharing their posters about "Cool Schools." It's a launch into our discussion about the charter school controversy. I'm looking forward to it.
